Following a series of previews that have introduced Malaysians to GWM’s newest compact SUV, GWM Malaysia recently announced that bookings are officially open for the all-new GWM ORA 5 HEV ahead of its upcoming launch.
The all-new GWM ORA 5 HEV is expected to be introduced with an estimated selling price of RM115,000, offering Malaysians an exciting new hybrid choice in the compact SUV segment.
First previewed in Malaysia earlier this year, the GWM ORA 5 HEV has been designed to offer more than what drivers might expect from a compact hybrid SUV. Distinctive in design and powered by GWM’s Hi2 intelligent hybrid technology, it combines strong performance, impressive efficiency, long driving range and everyday versatility in one compelling package.
At the heart of the GWM ORA 5 HEV is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 223 PS and 476 Nm of torque. GWM’s Hi2 intelligent hybrid system is engineered to deliver smooth and responsive performance across different driving conditions while achieving fuel consumption as low as 4.4 litres per 100 km.
With a total driving range of over 1,100 km*, the GWM ORA 5 HEV gives drivers the flexibility to take on everything from everyday city commutes to longer journeys with fewer stops along the way, all without the need for external charging.

Bookings for the all-new GWM ORA 5 HEV are now open at all authorised GWM dealerships nationwide. Customers may visit their nearest GWM showroom or the official GWM Malaysia website for more information and to place their booking.
The final selling price and complete specifications will be announced at the official Malaysian launch of the GWM ORA 5 HEV, scheduled for November 2025.
